Dear friends,
since I lost several Gonimbrasia pupae in the past while waiting for their emerging, now I would know the best method for keeping pupae of species which pupate underground.
I have pupae of Bunaea alcinoe, Gonimbrasia zambesina and Gynanisa maja.
I 'm keeping them on a layer of spagnum moss with humid sand underside, and 2 times a week I put them in lukewarm water for 30-60 minutes, to preventing drying and stimulate emerging. Actually I keep them in my room temperature is around 20° now.
Is it such practice correct or there is a better method for storing pupae of such species?
