| Hello,
does anyone know how many Actias sinensis larvae can be fed from hatching to the pupal stage on a Liquidambar 100 cm high? Are there other foodplants useful for this species? _________________ Mario http://www.ecosicilia.net/saturniaweb |

| Hello Atlas,
I don't know how many larvae can bee feed with a Liquidambar, bu i can tell you my expérience. i've fed 25 caterpillars (actias luna + sinensis) on a 1.5 m liquidambar, i rose it up to L2 L3 then i tried with a 3 m Liquidambar and i rise it up to L4 L5. the liquidambar was half eat, but it was treat against catterpillars and it died... So i thing a 3m liquidambar can be sufficient for a dozen larvae...
